Professional Air Duct Cleaning Equipment

In today's world more people are becoming better aware and concerned about indoor air quality. Indoor air pollution has been the concern of many individuals since the health issue from dirty and bacteria filled ducts at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal a few years back.

Duct Masters takes air duct cleaning very seriously and using nothing but the very best equipment and techniques available. When searching for a duct cleaner never choose a company for price or free products, check out sneaky companies for a guide and warnings concerning small and even large companies behaviors.

The ducts are cleaned by Duct Masters with several machines/tools.

1) Negative Machine (Vacuum) - Bigger is better in this case, to get the job done properly customers need to choose a truck mount vacuum. (Not a van mount .. but a real truck mount inside a real truck). Duct Masters has several different trucks for every job. However almost 90% of all jobs completed are done with our 14 foot cube truck which contains the largest possible duct cleaning vacuum on the market today. This vacuum can generate enough power for the biggest jobs .. the vacuums pressure can be increased to a whopping 20,000 CFM's.

Choosing a company using a portal unit will result in poor results. The machines being used today are unacceptable and outdated. Some of the machines being used are called "RotorBrush" it's simply like attaching your home vacuum with a 25 foot hose and brushing the inside of your main ducts. Doesn't sound very professional does it? Not even close.

2) Positive Machine (Air Compressor) - This machine is almost more important with professional duct cleaning than negative.... Why??? The negative vacuum hose is attached to the main duct next to the furnace which draws all the dirt from your vents and main duct lines, however dirt that is trapped or stuck on the sides of the ducts need to be awakened. Positive pressure will accomplish just that. The machine located in all of our trucks in as well the largest duct cleaning compressor today offering 240 PSI !!

3) Tools (Air Duct Cleaning Add-on's) - Duct Masters uses several different add-ons to accomplish our cleaning objectives. Since every home is different we may be required to use different tools and procedures. Customers should not be concerned since Duct Masters carries every tool possible to clean any situation. Here is a listing of a few of our common tools .... whipper, reverse and forward balls, snake, skipper ball, several types of brushes and more.

Professional Air Duct Cleaning Procedures

In today's world more people are becoming better aware and concerned about indoor air quality. Indoor air pollution has been the concern of many individuals since the health issue from dirty and bacteria filled ducts at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal a few years back.

Step 1 - The tech will follow the owner in locating all vents and returns in the home

Step 2 - The tech will then turn on your unit (furnace) to make sure of operation before cleaning.

Step 3 - The team will put down a drop cloth to protect your floor and carpet. Then they will begin to enter in the equipment.

Step 4 - The head tech will inspect free of charge the furnace and inform you on the condition ... If the furnace should be dirty Duct Masters can offer that service.

Step 5 - Once the team knows what and how they are going to clean your ducts, they will no longer be needing your assistance.

Step 6 - All covers and traps will then be removed and some returns will be inspected with lights and mirrors. This will show the amount of dirt and design of your ducts. (side note a lot of return ducts are fake .. Duct Masters trained technicians will inform you if this should be the case)

Step 7 - The team is finally ready to clean.

Step 8 - They will turn on both units ... positive and negative and start cleaning your heating system.

Step 9 - All heat vents and main supply vent will be cleaned first.

Step 10 - After all the heat/supply branches and main lines have been cleaned , they will then move the large negative hose to the return main line.

Step 11 - Cleaning of the returns and main return line will now begin.

Step 12 - If a customer wishes to see the results between before and after ... this would be the time.

Step 13 - Once all ducts have been cleaned. The techs will split now into different tasks. If you choose to use a disinfection for the ducts, it will be inserted once the ducts have been fully cleaned.

Step 14 - The other tech will be cleaning your furnace (if you choose this option)

Step 15 - Once the furnace and disinfection have been completed, the techs will begin to return things back to normal. Putting the covers back on, placing new sheet metal, etc.

Step 16 - The furnace will now be turned on to allow the sanitizer to function at it's fullest.

Step 17 - All material and tools will now be removed from your house

Step 18 - Payment will now need to be made, once the customer is fully satisfied.
